A busy day for ‘433’ today. Paul continued his training with Jon.

Two flights were flown. The first was a dual training sortie with upper air work and stalling exercises, leading in to dual circuit work.

After a quick break ‘433’ was airborne again, and Paul was delighted to fly his first solo on type! A short local area flight followed by two circuits

After yesterday’s successful flight, ‘433’ was flown to her new base of Inverness (Dalcross) via RAF Leeming.

Paul and Jon flew the aircraft in fine weather, stopping at Leeming for fuel uplift. Leeming were very pleased to see her, as she was previously based at the station.

After a short stop she was flown onwards to Inverness.

Paul continued his type conversion training with Jon during the flights, and most of the upper air work exercises were completed.

The purpose of the flight is to introduce Paul prior to commencing type training.

A 35 minute flight was flown from Coventry airport, and landed just before sunset.

Aircraft owner James Campbell and local commercial pilot Paul Gibbs join forces to operate ‘433’, as ‘Inverness Jet Provost’ based at Dalcross.

Approval will be sought to gain CAA approval, using Paul’s company

‘Aerial Vocations ltd’.

James Campbell fulfils his lifelong dream, and purchases G-JPRO (XW433) from Air Atlantique.

The aircraft remained at Coventry airport for an annual maintenance check, and whilst plans were made for ferrying to its new base of Inverness, Scotland.
